former Boston Bruins captain Zdeno Chara is going to the world championship
Former Boston Bruin Captain Zdeno Chara hasn't let retirement stop him. He seeks to keep going, as he heads to the World Championships.
Chara is a seasoned athlete and loves the sport of Triathlon and has been invited to the Ironman World Championships:
«My athletic journey post-hockey naturally gravitated toward endurance sports,» Chara told Runner's World via an e-mail interview. «I've always enjoyed cycling and running so the transition to triathlon felt like a natural progression.»
Chara is a former Stanley Cup Champion and began his NHL career with the New York Islanders, but at heart is always a Bruin.
It continues to push him to do better than yesterday, and it appears that the Ironman Triathlon is the next hill to conquer.
