In a recent interview on BPM Sports, former NHL coach Claude Julien engaged in a discussion with host Martin Lemay.

Among the topics explored were rumors surrounding Patrice Bergeron's potential return to play and the prospect of Julien taking on a head coaching role with the Ottawa Senators.

Julien expressed skepticism about Bergeron's return but found the Senators' coaching opportunity intriguing.

"This is precisely the kind of challenge I faced during my time in Boston. The team hadn't made the playoffs for several years. I remember Patrice Bergeron had a -28 rating. Zdeno Chara was at -21. I think even Savard, with 96 points, was around a -17. My challenge was to bring the team together to play in a way that would bring us success. [...] It's a challenge that could probably be interesting with the Ottawa team", Julien said.

Drawing parallels to his tenure in Boston, Julien reflected on the challenge of transforming struggling teams into successful contenders. With an impressive coaching history, including a Stanley Cup win with the Bruins in 2011, Julien remains open to future challenges in the NHL.
