Some game changing injury news was just announced moments before Bruins vs Leafs game tonight.

The Boston Bruins are gearing up to take on the Toronto Maple Leafs for the second time this year, and some game changing injury news has been announced ahead of the game.

Ahead of their morning skate, the Toronto Maple Leafs have announced that Auston Matthew is listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury and will not play against the Boston Bruins today.

Maple Leafs F Auston Matthews is not available for tonight's game and is day-to-day (upper body).

Auston Matthews has had a slow start to the season for the Toronto Maple Leafs, compared to his previous couple seasons. This may have something to do with the Leafs making a coaching change in the off-season, but Matthews only has two goals in his last five games and only have 5 goals on the year.

Matthews currently sits with five goals, 6 assists, for 11 points on the year in 13 games for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have been struggling on the power play, and now they will have to try and work on it without their best player tonight.

The Boston Bruins are set to have a new player join their roster today, after late last night they announced the signing of Tyler Johnson to a one-year $775,000 contract.

The Bruins have signed Tyler Johnson to a one-year NHL contract with a cap hit of $775,000.

Do you think this gives the Bruins a big advantage?
