With just roughly three weeks until training camp around the league starts the Boston Bruins have still yet to sign their starting goalie Jeremy Swayman, and after a recent report, fans are now worried this may not happen.
The Boston Bruins and Jeremy Swayman believe they are going to reach a deal soon, but a recent report has surfaced causing fans to worry as it seems Jeremy Swayman is seeking a massive payday.
Rich Keefe of Jones and Keefe on WEEI a radio in Boston stated that Jeremy Swayman is looking for $10 million per season to re-sign a new contract with the Boston Bruins.
Jeremy Swayman is no doubt a top goaltender in the league, and worth the money, but the problem is that the Boston Bruins do not have that type of cap space after signing Nikita Zadorov and Elias Lindholm to massive deals in the off-season.
This may lead to the Boston Bruins having to make a trade if this report is true, so the Bruins can afford to re-sign Jeremy Swayman.
Do you think the Boston Bruins are going to give Jeremy Swayman $10 million on his next contract?
