In the aftermath of a tumultuous week on the road, the Bruins find themselves back in Boston, aiming to rediscover their winning form.

Despite a strong start to the season dominating opponents, Boston has faced a setback with three consecutive losses, conceding a total of 17 goals during this challenging stretch.

As they approach a matchup against the San Jose Sharks to close out November, the Bruins are eager to secure a victory.

The Sharks, with just five regulation wins this season, present an opportunity for Boston to bounce back.

Bruins' head coach, Jim Montgomery, emphasized a return to the team's core strengths to reignite success.

"We need to get back to what defines us being a formidable team to play against.

Our emphasis is on solid checking and maintaining possession of the puck. It's the process we believe in for success, so our focus is on reclaiming those fundamental aspects," Montgomery stated in a video provided by the team.

In addition to emphasizing the team's strengths, Montgomery stressed the importance of a cleaner game, urging players to elevate their individual efforts to avoid unnecessary penalties.

"We've been taking too many stick penalties. It's a mix of not moving our feet, which isn't effective.

Reaching instead of using our feet for checking leads to undesirable outcomes.

We need to be more physical and avoid being a bit lazy by not working with our feet,"
he remarked.
