A major last minute development has surfaced involving the Boston Bruins acquiring young star Martin Necas and it was just confirmed.

The Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes have been in talks since the trade deadline last year, and it was reported that Martin Necas may be a piece involved in those talks.

Although the Bruins already traded Ullmark, they were still rumoured to be interested in the young star forward, but a recent report has suggested that Necas' landing spot may have been revealed.

The Winnipeg Jets are reportedly shopping forward Nikolaj Ehlers, and the Hurricanes are interested in swapping Martin Necas for Ehlers in a trade.

A reporter has suggested this would be a good trade for the Hurricanes after losing Jake Guentzel and the reports of Necas wanting out of Carolina.

There are reports that CAR is pushing heavily for Ehlers.

Can confirm those reports.

Make sense with them losing Guentzel.

#Isles had interest leading up to #NHLDraft.

Could still have interest even after acquiring Duclair but not sure.

Ultimately it seems like the Boston Bruins are officially out of talks with the Carolina Hurricanes involving Martin Necas, and that he is more than likely to go to Winnipeg or the New York Islanders, as they are reportedly interested in the forward as well.
