Elliotte Friedman has come out with some new reports this morning surrounding goaltender Linus Ullmark. We all know that Ullmark blocked a trade to go out west at the NHL trade deadline.
Now Elliotte Friedman is reporting that the Carolina Hurricanes were also in on Linus Ullmark at the deadline. Friedman isn't sure that the return package would involve Martin Necas or not, but he thinks the Hurricanes may revisit this trade offer in the summer.
Without a doubt Jeremy Swayman is set to take over the Bruins, they have made it clear that he is their top priority and will continue to be until the Bruins come to an agreement with the goaltender.
With that being said it sure seems like Linus Ullmark is on his way out, it's reported that Swayman may asking around $8 million on his next contract, and you can't have both of your goalies making a combined $11-13 million.
The Carolina Hurricanes currently own Necas' rights as he is a restricted free agent this year, if the Bruins do pull this trade off they will want to make sure that Necas is willing to sign and have a contract in place for him.
As seen on Hockeyfeed - Offer on the table for Linus Ullmark that could lead back to monster trade!
