Heading into the final 20 minutes of the Bruins-Flyers game at TD Garden on Saturday, the Boston Bruins were trailing the Flyers 3-1.
The Bruins had a massive third period when Trent Frederic and Brad Marchand came in clutch both scoring goals to help the Bruins force overtime for the second time in three games.
Pavel Zacha lived up to the moment once again scoring the game winner for the Boston Bruins midway through the overtime period to help the Bruins extend their win streak to four games now.
Just before Pavel Zacha's goal, Jeremy Swayman came up big for the Boston Bruins with an insane breakaway save on Joel Farabee and helped the Bruins secure their two points.
Elias Lindholm blew a tire inside the blue line of the Flyers defensive zone giving Farabee a breakaway. Farabee took the puck up the ice while Charlie McAvoy was trying to chase him down but couldn't catch up to him. Farabee took the puck right up the middle and fired a wrist shot from inside the hash marks, and Swayman came off big with a blocker save.
Following the game, Jeremy Swayman had this to say:
Today, Jeremy Swayman stopped 23 of 26 shots from the Flyers giving him his ninth win of the year, and improves to 5-2-0 against the Flyers all time now.
Now the Boston Bruins are taking their four game winning streak on the road as their next five games will be on a West Coast trip, with their first stop taking place in Winnipeg on Tuesday night.
