Joe Yerdon of the Bleacher Report has put out a list that should give us all some pause. As he has ranked Brad Marchand, and Patrice Bergeron way, way below their peers.

On a list that contains Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl(who have never won a Stanley Cup, nor do they share the same line regularly). Compared to Patrice Bergeron, and Brad Marchand who for so long were a part of the "Perfection Line" in Boston.

The duo won a Stanley Cup together, in 2011 unlike Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau who never accomplished that feat. Being crushed by the Pittsburgh Penguins, and Vegas Golden Knights in recent years.

Honestly, the list is so amazingly-bad, it also has Ovechkin, and Backstrom above the duo as well. Who have only ever one Stanley Cup, Backstrom, and Ovechkin have never been back to the Stanley Cup Finals since their victory in 2018 against the Golden Knights.

Whereas, the Boston Bruins have been consistent and a reliable playoff team, even up until Bergeron's exit in 2023.

His hard edge and penchant for crossing the line occasionally drives opposing players and fans alike mad. That he loves being hated makes opposition fans want to dislike him all the more, but it's how good of a player he is that drives them into fits of fury.

The two of them together (with an all-star cast that included Zdeno Chara, David Pastrnak, Tuukka Rask and Tim Thomas throughout the years) helped Boston become one of the best teams in the league every year including a Stanley Cup win in 2011, two other Final appearances in 2013 and 2019 and three Presidents' trophies (2014, 2020, 2023).

Even with the great compliments paid in the quote above, Bergeron and Marchand belong in the Top-5 of this list, especially with Jonathan Toews, and Patrick Kane.

Brad Marchand has 391 goals, 523 assists and a plus-minus of +303 in 1,020 games in the regular-season and playoffs with Patrice Bergeron in his career.

Patrice Bergeron had 316 goals, 420 assists and a plus-minus of +284 in 881 games with Brad Marchand in his career.
