The Bruins have been rolling after firing head coach Jim Montgomery as they have won their last three games and now have a 14-11-3 record on the year and sit in a playoff spot.
Things are finally starting to fall into place for the Boston Bruins, but the Bruins should be looking to make some upgrades at the trade deadline, and an insider has linked the Bruins to a surprising player.
Craig Button revealed on their most recent episode of The Talking Point on TSN that the Boston Bruins may be one team that really makes a push for San Jose Sharks star forward Mikael Granlund.
From Craig Button himself:
Although Granlund is aging, as he is 32-years-old the forward is having a crazy year for the San Jose Sharks as he currently has 10 goals, along with 19 assists for 29 points in 27 games, and is only a minus-2 on the season playing on a really bad Sharks team.
This is a player that many teams and fans may not have on their radar, but Granlund could be a sneaky addition the Boston Bruins make at the trade deadline, if they continue playing how they are.
The Bruins currently sit third in the Atlantic Division with 31 points in 28 games, but have the Tampa Bay Lightning right behind them with 28 points and four games in hand.
If the Bruins keep playing how they are, they will make the playoffs, but it's going to be a full team effort the rest of the year.
