Simon Benoit and Ryan Reaves go hunting Bruins players at end of 1st

As the first period of the game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Boston Bruins was winding down, things started to heat up on the ice.

Maple Leafs players Ryan Reaves and Simon Benoit were on the hunt for Bruins players, looking to make their presence felt. Benoit delivered a solid hit to Bruins player Pastrnak as he entered the zone, catching him with his head down and laying a big body check.

Shortly after, Pavel Zacha found himself going for a loose puck when Ryan Reaves blindsided him, adding to the physicality of the game.

BODIES ARE FLYING 💣

Despite the aggressive play from the Maple Leafs, the Bruins managed to find their footing towards the end of the period. They had some good opportunities in the offensive zone but were unable to capitalize on them.

As the first period came to a close, the game still sits 0-0, setting the stage for an intense second period. Despite the scoreline, the Bruins currently hold the advantage in hits, leading 32-28, showcasing their physical presence on the ice.

Heading into the second period, both teams will be looking to gain momentum and break the deadlock as they continue to battle it out on the ice.
