A surprising announcement was just made involving Boston Bruins goaltender Jermey Swayman.

Jeremy Swayman is slated to be the Boston Bruins starting goaltender this year, if they can agree on a new contract. The Bruins have until December 1st to come to an agreement on a contract or else Jeremy Swayman will not be allowed to play during the 2024-25 regular season, or the playoffs.

Many would not be surprised to see Jeremy Swayman wait until the deadline day to sign, due to the fact that his agent Lewis Gross, is the same agent for William Nylander, and he did the same thing a couple years ago with Nylander. They waited until minutes before the December 1st deadline to sign a new deal.

As of right now the Boston Bruins goaltending rotation would consist of Brandon Bussi and Joonas Korpisalo.

Joonas Korpisalo was acquired by the Boston Bruins in a trade with the Ottawa Senators, where they also got Mark Kastelic and the 25th overall pick in the draft that just passed, in exchange for Linus Ullmark.

Yesterday it was announced that RFA Cole Perfetti, and the Winnipeg Jets finally agreed to a two-year $3.5 million deal.

According to Boston Bruins reporter Scott McLaughlin, this leaves Jeremy Swayman and St. Louis Blues Nikita Alexandrov as the remaining two unsigned free agents.

Would leave Jeremy Swayman and St. Louis' Nikita Alexandrov as the last two unsigned RFAs.

Don Sweeney remains optimistic that the Boston Bruins and Jeremy Swayman will reach a deal before the December 1st deadline, but as of right now, no progress has been made.
