The Boston Bruins have placed 5 players on waivers today.

With the regular season about to start in two days, and NHL teams having to submit their NHL rosters by tomorrow at 5pm, teams are starting to make moves and send players down to the minors.

Earlier today the Boston Bruins placed fan favourite goaltender Brandon Bussi on waivers not long after Jeremy Swayman re-signed with the Boston Bruins.

It was announced that Patrick Brown, Brandon Bussi, Jiri Patera, Billy Sweezey, Jeffrey Viel were all placed on waivers today.

Ryan Bischel, Michael Callahan, Riley Duran, Jackson Edward, Brett Harrison, Kasimir Kaskisuo, Fabian Lysell, Georgii Merkulov and Jaxon Nelson to #AHLBruins.

Until today it looked like Brandon Bussi was going to be the Boston Bruins backup goaltender for opening night, as the Bruins, and Jeremy Swayman could not agree on a deal, and there was a lot of drama involved.

But ultimately the Boston Bruins, and Jeremy Swayman figured out a way to get a deal done before NHL rosters had to be submitted.
