Two unexpected players are reportedly set to leave the Boston Bruins organization for a bit.
It was just confirmed that two Boston Bruins players are set to step away from the Boston Bruins organization after being selected to represent the organization at the American Hockey League All-Star game in February.
«I'm really honored. Super excited for the opportunity,» DiPiertro said, per a team-provided video. «I'm just really thankful to my teammates for being supportive. It's been a good year so far, looking forward to continuing to build on it.»
This season, DiPietro has put up some solid numbers with a .925 save percentage and a 2.04 goals against average in 18 games this season with the Providence Bruins, and has a solid record of 11-4-3 with two shutouts on the year.
«Michael DiPietro is a guy that has done everything we've asked of him,» Providence coach Ryan Mougenel said in a statement from the team. «I think our staff has identified the athleticism in Michael.
The one thing that people don't see and we get the luxury of is the high quality person that he is. We're happy for him but not surprised by this honor because he is a fantastic person and goaltender.»
Callahan on the other hand has seven goals, and 26 assists for 33 points in 173 games in the American Hockey league. This season he only has six points in 33 games so far.

«I feel like I've kind of grown into playing a lot of minutes this year in all situations. Just trying to provide value to the team in any way I can. Just try to play that all-around game and helping the team win.»
the Providence Bruins are currently 17-12-3-1 this season and are 6-2-1-1- in their last 10 games, and still have 39 games remaining this year.
