Mark Borowiecki scored only 15 goals in his NHL career, but he had other priorities. He was deadly with his fists and would regularly drop the gloves. During his NHL career, Borowiecki fought 113 times, with a solid win percentage to back it up.

He played his first NHL game with the Ottawa Senators in 2011, and he stayed with the organization until 2020 when he then signed with the Nashville Predators, which didn't last very long as the league started to grow out of the «enforcer era».

Being a fighter that meant having to go up against some of the biggest guys in the league at the time. The likes of Tom Wilson and Zdeno Chara who he had a few altercations with.

In 2015, Borowiecki was still trying to find his place in the league, and he wanted to take on Zdeno Chara to find his stride. Chara, still a member of the Bruins at the time, showed off his stride alright. Grabbing Borowiecki by his sweater, and he had no chance from the beginning.

The two weren't even awarded fighting majors, instead roughing penalties. In a later interview on Coming In Hot podcast (H/T RMNB) Borowiecki said, «I was just trying to make a name for myself.»

«I'd always ask him to fight even after that one. At one point, he looked at me with that big slow accent, You just can't help yourself can you?'»
