Jake DeBrusk makes an unexpected statement after calling out the Boston Bruins
Jake DeBrusk thought to be headed to Seattle at one point, has stunned us all and signed in Vancouver.
His term is 7x$5.5 Million AAV, and will now be under the leadership of Rick Tocchet, and Quinn Hughes Captaincy.
DeBrusk spent 465 games of the first part of his NHL career with the Boston Bruins, scoring 266 points( 138 G, 128 A) and was a major factor in the teams 2019 Stanley Cup run.
DeBrusk reached out to B's fans everywhere on his social media account:
«Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!» DeBrusk captioned the post. «Thank you to all of the people that I got to meet and had the pleasure of getting to know throughout my last seven years in the Black and Gold. There will always be a place in my heart for Boston and that's because of my teammates that I went to battle with and the fans who were with me from the start! In saying all that I am extremely excited to start this new chapter in my career and to be in Vancouver and to put on that Canucks jersey!»
DeBrusk will be returning to the TD Garden on November 26th wearing the oppositions colors.
But that doesn't mean he won't receive a video tribute.
DeBrusk was a fan favorite and one of the Bruins key players the last 5 years and will be sorely missed.
