Vegas Golden Knight' Alex Pietrangelo has caused nothing but controversy during the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

His foul actions continued into the Stanley Cup Final, especially in game four after leaving the penalty box and immediately jumped into the dog pile at the end of the game.

This action alone could rule out Pietrangelo from returning to the Cup Final, depending on the ruling from the National Hockey League Department of Player Safety.

The rule is as follows if a player exits the box and the play is stopped, and they start an altercation, they are not only subject to the penalties they would receive on the play but a 10-game suspension.

However if the opponent is not the aggressor in the situation, the 10 game suspension is waived. So depending on which way the Department of Players safety leans, Alex Pietrangelo could see a hefty suspension coming his way.

As the action took place on Saturday night and another day has passed since the altercation, it looks like nothing will happen.

But again it looks like Pietrangelo got lucky and narrowly avoided what could've been a costly suspension.
