A funny story involving Johnny Gaudreau and Jim Montgomery has surfaced after his passing

Believe it or not, Jim Montgomery is another Boston Bruin with a connection to the great, Johnny Gaudreau.
Gaudreau played in the USHL for Montgomery when he coached the Dubuque Fighting Saints.
Montgomery had a funny story he shared once, of which he mentioned Gaudreau's nutrition habits, which lacked important things such as fruits and veggies.
But Nutella? Plenty of it!
Honestly, who doesn't love Nutella on toast, bagels or bread! Gaudreau instead loved it so much he'd eat it by the spoonful.
He loved it so much he ended up at the Doctor's cause he was suffering from stomach pain.
Imagine loving it that much? Not so much to lose regularity.

In an Vice Article, Jim Montgomery also complimented his game:
«Jonny's greatness-and it holds true at every level he's been, including the NHL-is creativity and the ability to create time and space,» Montgomery said. «The way he can read opponents' sticks, hips and knees, to be able to go the other way on them allows him to do things that people didn't think were humanly possible at his size in the NHL.»
