The Boston Bruins are facing elimination in game six of their first-round series with the Carolina Hurricanes. However, the Bruins have a pretty good record in recent memory of the same situation. As noted by Ty Anderson, who covers the Bruins for 98.5 "The Sports Hub."

Here's a look back at the last nine times the Boston Bruins have been in the same situation:

2008: First Round vs Montreal Canadiens - Won Game 6, Lost Game 7
2009: Second Round vs Carolina Hurricanes - Won Game 6, Lost Game 7
2011: Final vs Vancouver Canucks - Won Game 6, Won Game 7
2012: First Round vs Washington Capitals - Won Game 6, Lost Game 7
2013: Final vs Chicago Blackhawks - Lost Game 6
2017: First Round vs Ottawa Senators - Lost Game 6
2019: First Round vs Toronto Maple Leafs - Won Game 6, Won Game 7
2019: Final vs St. Louis Blues - Won Game 6, Lost Game 7
2021: Second Round vs New York Islanders - Lost Game 6

So, all-in-all, the Bruins are pretty good at winning game sixes in recent memory, just not so much game sevens if they do! Of course, the only thing Boston has to worry about is keeping their record perfect on home ice at TD Garden and forcing a seventh game. Because as all hockey fans know, anything can happen in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, especially a do-or-die game seven!
