Will the Colorado Avalanche be able to make it back-to-back Stanley Cups?
It's getting more and more harder for them, as injuries have plagued the defending champs all season long and now they received more worse news.
According to Kyle Fredrickson of the Denver Gazette, forward Valeri Nichushkin could miss significant time:
Val Nichushkin has re-injured his surgically repaired ankle, Jared Bednar confirmed. He does not have a timeline for his return.
It appears that Nichushskin has reinjured his surgically repaired ankle, and this time around, he has no timetable to return.
Colorado has stayed in the hunt with a 19-12-2 record and the second Wild Card spot in the West. That's with an already depleted lineup.
Will the Avalanche be able to repeat?
