The Columbus Blue Jackets are following the Coyotes lead, as they are healthy scratching their top trade bait Tuesday night.
The Blue Jackets released an official statement earlier this morning:
LINEUP UPDATE: Blue Jackets D Vladislav Gavrikov will be a healthy scratch for tonight's game vs. New Jersey. He is being held out of the lineup for trade-related reasons. Gavrikov, 27, has received a lot of trade interest around the league, including from the Boston Bruins. The defenseman has appeared in 52 games with Columbus this season, recording 3 goals and 7 assists.
Unlike Chychrun, however, David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period has reported that a trade doesn't appear close at the point.
