Forward David Krejci left that Thursday's game during the second period after he received a hit from Red Wings forward Michael Rasmussen. Krejci was grasping at either his wrist or supporting his shoulder and immediately went down the tunnel and did not return.
Krejci skated Monday morning before the team's morning skate and it was also announced that he would join his teammates on their upcoming three-game road trip starting Tuesday in Pittsburgh.
As per CapFriendly, the veteran was officially placed on the injured reserve Monday evening:
Krejci won't be available for seven days after being placed on the IR; however, the placement is retroactive to the date of the injury, which was October 27th in this case.
