Brad Marchand notched career point number 800 in his 876th NHL game. He did so on a penalty-shot opportunity in the second period Saturday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Last night was Marchand's ninth penalty-shot attempt in his career, which is tied for fifth all-time with Evander Kane and Marion Hossa. However, the Bruins winger sits a lot higher on the all-time penalty-shot goals list.
As per NHL Public Relations:
Brad Marchand scored the sixth penalty-shot goal of his NHL career and tied Mario Lemieux for second place in League history. Pavel Bure tops the all-time list with seven.
