The Montreal Canadiens and the Vegas Golden Knights have made a trade.
The Canadiens trade Shea Weber to the Golden Knights in exchange for Evgenii Dadonov.
TSN's Darren Dreger was the first to report that something was happening in Montreal:
The Canadiens announced it on their official Twitter moments later:
Shea Weber was reported to be likely to retire because of injuries and didn't play last season. Surely a cap move for the strapped Golden Knights who can put Weber on LTIR.
