It appears as though the earlier reports were accurate, and veteran defenseman Anton Stralman will join the Boston Bruins on a professional tryout. Clearly, a move to strengthen up a defence that will be missing Charlie McAvoy and Matthew Grzelcyk to start the season.
Stralman, 36, has appeared in 930 career games with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Columbus Blue Jackets, New York Rangers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Florida Panthers and Arizona Coyotes.
Originally selected in the seventh round (216th overall) by the Maple Leafs, the Swede has 63 goals and 230 assists, along with 26 points in 113 career postseason games.
