Former Boston Bruins goaltender Andrew Raycroft is now a studio analyst for NESN, covering the team he once was drafted by and played for.
As the Bruins have started training camp, it appears as though Raycroft has been keeping a close eye on the injured players who have been skating alone, prior to full practices. Most notably star players Brad Marchand and Charlie McAvoy, as well as Matthew Grzelcyk.
Raycroft shared his thoughts on the injured players, which could be a major announcement in progress of their respective rehab. As per Raycroft:
''Watching McAvoy, Grezlyck and Marchand skate the last two days makes me believe we will see them earlier than expected.''
Marchand and McAvoy have been skating together at Warrior Ice Arena before regular scheduled practices. Apparently Raycroft has been watching and by the looks of the two Bruins stars, he's betting on an early return.
Grzelcyk also spoke to media to discuss his rehab:
''Feels quicker than I expected. It felt pretty good right away. I had to wear the sling for about two weeks...it's just exciting to get back out there and do a little bit more than I was able to the first few months.''
