The worst has officially been confirmed on Jake Debrusk by the Boston Bruins.
Per Public Relations, the club announced the extent of the forward's injury, and the subsequent roster moves.
Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, January 5, that the team has placed forward Jake DeBrusk on long-term injured reserve and recalled forward Chris Wagner from Providence. DeBrusk reportedly suffered a hand and lower-body injury during the Winter Classic on Monday, and the expected recovery time is four weeks.
As per Scott McLaughlin:
''Four weeks means DeBrusk likely returns after the All-Star break, which would actually give him a fifth week. Bruins have 14 games before then.''
Tough news for DeBrusk and the Bruins as the forward has registered 16 goals and 14 assists this season.
Does this open the door for a big trade for the Bruins!?
