Even though the Boston Bruins are considered to have one of, if not the weakest, prospect pools in the entire NHL, several of their prospects are doing quite well to start the 2022-23 season.
Especially defenseman Frederic Brunet, who was selected in the fifth round (132nd overall) in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.
The left-shot defender is coming off an impressive 2021-22 season, appearing in 63 games with the Rimouski Oceanic of the QMJHL and recording 12 goals and 34 assists. So far, he's carried that success into this season and is off to a scorching hot start.
Through 16 games, the 19-year-old is third in defenseman scoring with 17 points (2G, 15A), which is also good enough for a tie for 26th among all skaters.
