Goaltenders up and down the Bruins organization have done nothing but excell this season, from the ECHL to the NHL.
We all know how dominant Linus Ullmark has been - along with Jeremy Swayman now - and Brandon Bussi was an AHL earlier this month All-Star.
Now, the latest goalie in the system to step it up has been Michael DiPietro of the Maine Mariners (ECHL). In 14 games this season, the 23-year-old is 11-3-0 with a 2.44 GAA and a .920 SV%.
And DiPietro made possibly one of the best saves of the season on Friday night. Check it out below:
The puck took an unfortunate bounce off the glass as he went to play the dump-in, forcing DiPietro to make an insane desperation save. He would finish the game with a 33-save shutout.
DiPietro was one of the pieces that the Bruins acquired in the Jack Studnicka trade to the Canucks.
