The Boston Bruins may have a gem with their latest first-round draft choice.

Boston's 2021 first-round pick, Fabian Lysell, collected 4 goals and 11 assists for a total of 15 points in just six games of the Vancouver Giants' first-round matchup in the Western Hockey League Playoffs.

The Giants made history with their 4-2 series upset over the Everett Silvertips.

The Giants were major underdogs going into the series as the number eight-seed in the WHL's Western Conference with a 24-39-5 record, while the Silvertips were first in the conference with a record of 45-13-10. With the series win, the Giants became the first eighth-seed to defeat a number one-seed since the league expanded to a 16-team playoff format in 2002.

Fabian Lysell capped off his impressive series by assisting on four of his team's six goals in a 6-3 win in game six. Here's how Lysell's series went by game:

Game 1: 5 assists (5-4 OT win)
Game 2: 1 assist (7-3 loss)
Game 3: 1 g, 1a (6-2 loss)
Game 4: 2 goals (11-6 win)
Game 5: 1 goal (3-0 win)
Game 4: 4 assists (6-3 win)

With Lysell's 15 points in the series, he attributed to 50% of his team's total goals. He currently sits second in WHL playoff scoring, just one point behind teammate Zack Ostapchuk.

In their round two matchup, the Vancouver Giants will take on the Kamloops Blazers.
