This morning, the Boston Bruins announced a roster move prior to their New York road trip this week.
As per Bruins PR:
Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, January 17, that the team has recalled forward Joona Koppanen from Providence. As to why the recall happened. No injuries have been reported, so it's probably just because of the back-to-back against the Islanders and Rangers on Wednesday and Thursday.
Koppanen recently skated in his first NHL game on January 12th against the Seattle Kraken.
