The Boston Bruins sit at 37-5-4, and are on track to break the all-time record of 62 wins, as they're currently on pace for 66.
The team's incredible success has maybe even surprised themselves, but now, big decisions loom for the rest of the season. Most notably, what the remaining schedule will look like for Patrice Bergeron.
And as David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period has recently reported, the Bruins may even take an NBA-style approach with their captain.
NBA teams are famous for resting their star players for extended periods of time after playoffs are certain. It doesn't quite work that way in the NHL, but teams aren't usually in the position that this current Boston squad is.
Making sure Bergeron is 100% is crucial for postseason success, but can he afford to miss big stretches of time? Hockey is such a fast-paced game and sometimes it takes a while to get your 'groove'' back.
What are your thoughts on load managing Bergeron or any other Bruins for the rest of the season?
You can almost guarantee that's not what the captain would want for himself!
