Two of the NHL's youngest and brightest stars may have some new beef between them.
The reigning Norris Trophy winner, Cale Makar, called out the reigning Vezina Trophy winner, Igor Shesterkin, after the Avalanche and Rangers game last Friday.
New York came away with a 2-1 win in overtime in what could be a 2023 Stanley Cup Finals preview, but the highlight of the night happened post-game with Makar's comments. Makar was asked about Shesterkin's ''extra enthusiastic'' glove save on him:
''I mean he's their goalie is all about the show, so went straight in his glove and just, nice little windmill there.''
It gives you the same feeling as pitchers in MLB that get mad at a big bat flip after giving up a homerun. But is anyone really in the wrong?
