The Boston Bruins are off to a franchise-best 8-1-0 through the first month of the 2022-23 NHL season.
Not bad for a 98-year history!
One of the key components to the Bruins' success has been star winger David Pastrnak, who is now leading the league in points with 17 (7G, 10A).
At least for the time being, as Connor McDavid (15) and Leon Draisaitl (15) for the Edmonton Oilers play Saturday night.
Even though Pasta is having one of the best starts to a season he's had in his career; it's clear that head coach Jim Montgomery has built a ''team culture'' in the dressing room.
With the help of guys that have been in Boston for a while now, like Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand, David Krejci and Pastrnak.
Pastrnak spoke to the media after the Bruins' 4-0 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets, and there was a big emphasis on what it takes to be a winning team:
''I think we play together. Every line did the job and has been doing the job the whole month, and that's the biggest thing.
Whoever is in the lineup is going the whole game ... our goalies are playing well, and the penalty kill is outstanding.''
''When you have that every game, it's easy to win.''
