Boston hockey has always been known to be gritty and in your face. For the Bruins, having players who can stand up for themselves has always been a priority, as well as a winning recipe.
A quick glance at the team's last Cup run will show you just how needed tough guys have been for the franchise. But with the B's eyeing Lord Stanley's Cup again this year, do they have enough heavyweights to go all the way?
The Bruins are currently tied for 9th in the NHL with 20 fighting majors this season. While that's well off some of the West Coast teams, it places them only behind the Ottawa Senators (27) and the Tampa Bay Lightning (23) in the Eastern Conference.
We know Nick Foligno can stick up for himself.
And while we have yet to see him play, newcomer Josh Brown seems happy to toss the gloves off as well.
Will it be enough grit to get the Bruins through the end of the regular season? Will they have enough man strength to get through the playoffs?
By the looks of it, the B's seem close to unstoppable right now!
