Several NHL players have signed professional tryout contracts over the past few weeks, including veterans and even players in their mid-20s, coming off decent years i.e. Sonny Milano.

The Boston Bruins are one team that hasn't announced any PTO signings, and probably due to the lack of cap space the club has. However, general manager Don Sweeney recently discussed what the team's decision regarding potential PTO offers for free agents.

Marc Divver of NHL.com shared what Sweeney said:

''We've got a final decision to make. I don't know right now. There's one that's pending. We've talked to several guys and some have made choices to go elsewhere based on opportunity.''

'Right now, [no invites]. But there's one that's hanging out there.''

So, according to Divver, the Bruins have a PTO offer on the table with a current free agent. It would make sense that it's a defenseman with both Charlie McAvoy and Matthew Grzelcyk out to start the season.

Wonder if it was PK Subban, Keith Yandle or even Zdeno Chara? All of whom announced their retirements today.
