Former Boston Bruins fan favourite disrespects the Bruins in announcement
Tomas Nosek has signed with the Florida Panthers for the 2024-2025 NHL season.
His $925K AAV, is a 2-year contract value of $1.8 Million and is excited to join the Florida Panthers.
Tomas Nosek had a memorable exchange with Matthew Tkachuk during the 2023 playoffs but says he can't wait to join the #FlaPanthers in an attempt to win it all.

The Bruins led the series 3-1 until the Panthers clawed their way back into the series, winning the last three games and advance into the next round.
«When I was playing in Boston [in 2023], we had not lost two games in a row and then they beat us three games in a row in the playoffs,'' Nosek said. «So, I knew they were a special group. And they proved it this year by winning it all. It's a great group of guys, I can't wait to join them. I am excited to play with the Panthers organization.''
Nosek also had a funny interaction with Matthew Tkachuk during that series which would break the internet.
This happened after Nosek's hit on Eric Staal, which lead to chirps from Ryan Lomberg and Matthew Tkachuk.
«I am not the first or the last person to have some discussions between the benches, or whatever,'' Nosek said with a chuckle. «So, it is part of hockey, there are no hard feelings at all. I had not even thought about it before you asked about it. Don't think it will be a problem.''
Nosek signed with the Florida Panthers in order to win a cup, which could explain why he signed there. He hasn't been to a Stanley Cup final since 2018, with the expansion team, Vegas Golden Knights and has been hunting a cup since.
«That's why I signed here,'' said Nosek, who had seven goals and 17 points in 66 games with the Bruins in 2022-23, and had two assists in their first-round loss to the Panthers that year.
«When I started playing regularly in the NHL, it was my first year in Vegas and we went all the way to the Final. Since then, I have been chasing the Final again.
«Every year, you want to win; when you get older, you want to win more because you know there's not much time left. You try to pick a team with a real chance, and I think the Panthers are that. I hope we can do it again together.''
Nosek apparently didn't feel that way about Boston, despite their successes this year. The disrespect is blatant as he didn't even consider another year in the Black and Gold.
