A former member of the Boston Bruins was in a scary incident, as Noel Acciari was forced to leave the game after a bad headshot.
The Maple Leafs are hosting the Carolina Hurricanes tonight and Acciari was involved in a nasty collision with Hurricanes forward Jesse Puljujarvi during the first period.
Should there have been a penalty on the play?
As Puljujarvi is trying to stay onside, his path takes him right into an unsuspecting Acciari, who clearly gets the worst of it. Check it out:
Toronto later announced that the forward would not be returning to the game, hopefully, it's not serious.
The Rhode Island native previously appeared in 180 games for the Bruins, recording 18 goals and 13 assists.
