Last week, former Vegas Golden Knights forward Max Pacioretty made some highly controversial statements against the organization.

After Pacioretty was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes, he made some huge claims that the team holds nobody accountable when things go wrong:

''You don't feel pressure from anyone, from coaches to management. When you have a bad game, nobody tells you.''

Current Golden Knights star, Jack Eichel, responded to Pacioretty's controversial statement:

''I think his statement was misinterpreted. I know Max, and he was a leader on our team. I don't think he meant that there was no accountability. I think sometimes when you play in a place like Vegas; you can lose track of the season a bit. The feeling is different there. I believe we all need to be accountable in the chamber. If you don't win the Stanley Cup, there are always things to improve.''

Jonathan Marchessault also argued that the claim by his former teammate were taken out of context by fans and media. He also pointed out that he has kept a good relationship with Pacioretty since he was traded to the Hurricanes.

Former Vegas goaltender and current NHL legend Marc-Andre Fleury also reacted to Pacioretty's claim:

''When I was there, my goal was to finish with the victory. It is surely a coincidence that this happened after my departure. It's a very good team, they have a lot of good players. It's a bit of a shame to see how the team turned out. There are several big names who were there at the beginning and left. The chemistry was really good, and everyone worked for each other. [But] every season, they let three or four guys go.''
