The Boston Bruins selected centre Matthew Poitras with their first pick of the draft which was in the second round (54th overall).

Don Sweeney then traded their third round (91st overall) to the Seattle Kraken for picks 117 and 132.

To finish their day, the Bruins had picks 117, 119, 132, 183, 200 and 215.

Here's how it played out:

Fourth round (117th overall)

Writer Chris Peters on Cole Spicer:

''Boston gets a little gritty with Cole Spicer at 117. On his way to Minnesota Duluth where he's their kind of player. He actually was the net-front guy for one of the U.S. U18s power play units and played a lot of tough minutes. I ranked him 79th.''

119th overall

Fourth round (119th overall)

@bruinsnetwork on Dans Locmelis:

''Dans Locmelis, selected at No. 119 OA by Boston, is a left-shot center who spent last season in the J20 with Lulea. To be honest, I don't have a huge book on him and have only seen him play a handful of times. Solid, unspectacular player with a good handle on the game.''

132nd overall

Fifth round (132nd overall)

As per @bruinsnetwork on Twitter:

''Bruins go with a high-mobility, puck-carrying defender in Frederic Brunet at No. 132 OA. Brunet, a 6-foot-2 left-shot, provides a two-way style game and has a ton of skill in his hands. He's got confidence with the puck and as a re-entry, feel like he's underrated.''

183rd overall

Sixth round (183rd overall)

Ty Anderson gave some thought on the pick:

'' Bruins draft Reid Dyck with No. 183 overall pick. 6-foot-3 goalie. 6-12-1, 4.26 GAA, .884SV% in 23 games with WHL's Swift Current Broncos last year.''

200th overall

Seventh round (200th overall)

Scott McLaughlin on Jackson Edward:

''At 200 (7th round), Bruins take 6-foot-2 left-shot D Jackson Edward (not to be confused with Jack Edwards). Little offense in his first OHL season with London (6 points in 54 games) but has shown some offense at other levels.''

215th overall pick can be found

Seventh round (215th overall)
