With the recent rebuild plans for the Chicago Blackhawks, veterans Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews have shown their non-interest.
While there have been some rumours that Kane has requested a trade, the same can't really be said for Toews. However, according to insider Adrian Dater of ColoradoHockeyNow.com, Toews would love to become a member of the Colorado Avalanche.
As per Dater, a three-team deal where the Blackhawks and another team could agree to eat some of Toews' salary.
This was seen recently when the Tampa Bay Lightning acquired defenseman David Savard from the Columbus Blue Jackets, and the Detroit Red Wings agreed to assume 50% of his salary for a 4th-round pick.
