The Boston Bruins defenseman reached an important milestone in his young career on Saturday night.
By hopping over the boards for the Bruins showdown, McAvoy played in the 300th game of his career.
The 24-year-old has stepped up on the B's blue line following the departure of key veterans Zdeno Chara and Torey Krug over the past years.
McAvoy, who is currently enjoying the most productive season of his career with highs across the board (8G-39A-47P), plays a complete 200-foot game.
The 6'1'', 211-pound defender loves to throw his weight around and has often been able to shut down opponents with some punitive bodychecks.
