The Chicago Blackhawks enter the 2022-2023 season as one of the favourites to land potential generational talent Connor Bedard.
After trading away 24-year-old Alex DeBrincat and 21-year-old Kirby Dach, it is evident that the Hawks are entering a rebuild. Franchise faces Jonathan Toews, and Patrick Kane don't seem too concerned despite their winning history.
Toews and Kane have reportedly not requested trades and are ''excited for training camp and looking forward to what this season will bring.''
Unfortunately for the three-time Stanley Cup Champions, adding another Cup to their resumes will have to wait another year.
Kane's name has been brought up multiple times in trade rumours, and he could still be moved at the deadline for high picks and prospects. Captain Toews, however, may opt to remain with the Hawks and decide on his future next summer.
