Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau's sister Katie has broken her silence and made a promise to her brothers after their tragic deaths on August 29th.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, she expressed her love for her brothers and what she intends to do in a promise to both as her along with her fiancé, family and the rest of the sports world continues to mourn the deaths of these two great men.
She expressed how her love for her brothers ran deep and how they were essentially inseparable and two brothers to look up to. She also mentioned she would look after her parents, their children along with their wives as the family draws closer together in this terrible time.
The storyline for this tragedy is one of the most gut wrenching I've ever heard as Katie was ready to walk down the aisle to marry her fiancé Devin the day after the disaster.
This wedding was cancelled, and it remains to be seen when it would take place but for the time being, the Gaudreau family will continue to receive an outpouring of support and sympathies from every corner of the sports world and throughout the world itself.
Both men were on their bicycles in their home state of New Jersey when they were struck by an alleged drunk driver who was attempting to pass two vehicles and chose to pass on the wrong side of the road.
