The Boston Bruins want to seize their shot at clinching a playoff spot with a win over the Ottawa Senators Thursday.

The Bruins (45-23-5) are looking to avoid their first three-game losing streak of the season by taking on the Senators (27-40-6), who snapped a three-game losing skid of their own on Tuesday.

It's already been confirmed that Boston will be down some key elements once again tonight with David Pastrnak, Hampus Lindholm and Brandon Carlo all ruled out with injuries.

Coach Cassidy also announced he'll be making Trent Frederic a healthy scratch, replacing the big-bodied winger with Tomas Nosek. Other notable changes see Marc McLaughlin reverting back to center on the fourth unit, while Jesper Froden will get to skate on the second line after being called up from Providence yesterday.

In nets, the Bruins will turn over tonight's starting duties to Linus Ullmark (23-10-2), who gets to take on fellow Swede Anton Forsberg (18-16-3) down the other end of the ice.

Boston defenseman Matthew Grzelcyk had a good practice this morning and looks set to return to action tonight after sitting out the last outing.

Should he be able to play, here are the Bruins projected lines against the Sens:

Brad Marchand Patrice Bergeron Jake Debrusk
Taylor HallErik Haula Jesper Froden
Tomas Nosek Charlie CoyleCraig Smith
Nick Foligno Marc McLaughlin Curtis Lazar

Puck drop between the Bruins and Senators is scheduled for 7pm ET at Boston's TD Garden, but should be delayed a little bit with the pre-game ceremony honoring the 1972 Stanley Cup Champion squad.
