The Boston Bruins released a video today of Patrice Bergeron's longtime teammate (and linemate) Brad Marchand congratulating the captain on his record-breaking Selke win.
Bergeron was first a finalist (and won) the Frank J. Selke after the 2011-12 NHL season. Since then, he has been a nominee every season (11 straight) and won the award in 2012, 2014, 2015, 2017 and now 2022. Marchand has been by his side every one of those seasons, making it so much more special for him.
"It's incredible what Bergy continues to do, year in and year out ... His numbers are blowing everybody out of the water ... It shows what an incredible career he has had ... We will now soon be calling it the 'Patrice Bergeron Award' ... so well deserved."
