Hockey is the fastest game in the world, and NHL referees are going to call some plays wrong.
However, it's hard to believe that all officials ice would get something as wrong as they did during the Chicago Blackhawks and Buffalo Sabres game.
The incident happened in the third period when the puck is cleared towards forward Max Domi. Rasmus Dahlin brings up his stick in an attempt to knock it down, and as Dahlin's stick comes up, Domi not only throws his head back, but he grabs his face like he's been struck.
Check it out:
Dahlin was given a two-minute minor for high sticking, and fortunately, the Sabres were able to kill the penalty.
It will be interesting to see if Domi receives a fine for his embellishment on the play.
