Artemi Panarin has hilarious response to Jacob Trouba being named Rangers captain

Yesterday, defenseman Jacob Trouba was named the 28th captain in New York Rangers franchise history.
He officially joins some legends such as Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, Jaromir Jagr, Brian Leetch and Phil Esposito to captain the Blue Shirts.
The Rangers had been without a captain since 2018 when the current captain Ryan McDonagh was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning. It was reported that the club had several options for their next captain, including Chris Kreider, Mika Zibanejad and Artemi Panarin.
Panarin sent out a video congratulating Trouba for the honour, but he made sure to take a hilarious shot at his teammate as well. Watch the video below:
