The Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes had a rough game two that saw a total of 46 penalty minutes.

One of the plays that stood out, for obvious reasons, was the collision between Bruins' forward David Pastrnak and Hurricanes' goaltender Antti Raanta in the first period. Raanta was cut around his mouth (from his own mask) and was forced to leave the game and did not return. It is also unclear if he is available tonight for game three as well.

After game two, Hurricanes' head coach Brind'Amour was asked if he thinks Boston was deliberately trying to target Carolina's goalies, to which he replied:

«What do you think? It can't get any more obvious."

The thought of Pasta intentionally running a goalie to cause injury is downright hilarious. This morning Pastrnak replied to the accusations from Carolina's coach:

"Whoever thinks I tried to injure him obviously doesn't understand hockey, and yeah, I mean, I'd rather say "no comment" than that ... we were doing a set play, and I'm coming with full speed trying to get the first touch, and he's trying to clear it... "

Clearly, it was an accident, and in breaking down the video, it looks like Pastrnak is trying to get out of the way. It's not as easier to turn sharp going full speed. If he was trying to intentionally injure Raanta, he didn't do a very good job of it.
