Nikita Kucherov is a proven playoff performer. He showed why in game one of the Stanley Cup Final last night.
With his team down 3-1 in the second, Kucherov pulled off a beautiful dangle around Avalanche defenseman Devon Toews to set up teammate Ondrej Palat for a tap-in goal:
Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev scored just 48 seconds later to tie the game as well, setting up an intense finale to game one.
The assist was not only a filthy play but also Kucherov's 100th career postseason assist. Not bad for the 28-year-old.
